• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any provider information, including licensing status, inspection results, capacity, or availability.
• Licensing data may be delayed, outdated, or contain errors from the source agencies.
• You should always verify information directly with the childcare provider and the relevant state licensing authority before making any childcare decisions.
• KinderScouts does not inspect, endorse, certify, or recommend any childcare provider listed on the site.

4. No Professional Advice

Content on KinderScouts, including our parent guides, is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute professional childcare, legal, medical, or safety advice. Always consult qualified professionals for decisions related to your child's care and safety.

5. User Accounts

If you create an account on KinderScouts, you are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Providing accurate information when claiming a provider profile.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior.

6. Provider Profiles

Childcare providers may claim their profile on KinderScouts. By claiming a profile, providers agree to:

• Provide truthful and accurate information about their business.
• Not misrepresent their licensing status, capacity, or qualifications.
• Respond to parent inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

We reserve the right to revoke profile claims or remove provider content that is misleading or violates these terms.

7. Inquiry System

Our inquiry system allows parents to send messages to childcare providers. By using it, you agree:

• Not to send spam, harassing, abusive, or misleading messages.
• That KinderScouts is not responsible for provider responses (or lack thereof).
• That we may rate-limit inquiries to prevent abuse.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data from the site beyond what is necessary for personal, non-commercial use.
• Attempt to interfere with the site's operation or security.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a childcare provider.
• Use the site for any unlawful purpose.

9. Intellectual Property

The KinderScouts name, logo, design, and original content (including parent guides) are our property. Provider data sourced from state agencies remains public information. You may not reproduce or redistribute our original content without permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KinderScouts and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site. This includes, but is not limited to, damages arising from:

• Reliance on provider information that may be inaccurate or outdated.
• Any interactions, transactions, or disputes between parents and childcare providers.
• Service interruptions or data loss.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, for the free service, is $0).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KinderScouts and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the site, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
