The operation used additional space built, prior to CCR inspecting the additional space for health and safety clearance. This was corrected at inspection when the issue was discussed with director.

Five staff hired after September 2023 did not have preemployment affidavits in their files.

This standard was evaluated and found to be out of compliance when toddlers were left to watch television in the classroom, while both caregivers in charge of the classroom, cleaned up the room. A child was injured and required medical treatment during this time.

This standard was evaluated and found to be out of compliance when toddlers aged 21 months to 2 years were watching a television program while caregivers cleaned the room. Three toddlers were under the age of two years.

This standard was evaluated and found to be out of compliance when toddlers were left to watch television in the classroom, while both caregivers in charge of the classroom, cleaned up the room.

Two caregivers were not able to give the correct number of children present in the classroom.

This standard was evaluated and found to be out of compliance. There were 17 children in care in the classroom with one caregiver, at time of incident; Nine 3-year old children and Eight 4-year old children. The core age is 3 years and the maximum number of children one caregiver may supervise alone, is 15 children, when 13 or more children are in care at the operation. The classroom was out of ratio by two children on the day and time of the incident.

The operation has failed to report to Child Care Regulation, with in two days, of several positive COVID-19 cases within the operation staff and children, over the last 12 months or more.

Director and caregivers have not completed health and safety training required.
