Little Foot Daycare

A step 2 infant to toddler swing was installed inside the children's classroom without proper unitary surfacing or use zones. Note: This was CORRECTED during the inspection when the swing was removed from the classroom.

The training records for the director and substitute were not available for review during the inspection.

A tube of prescribed ointment, a bottle of over the counter pain reliever, and a retractable razor blade scraper were observed inside a drawer in the children's restroom. This posed a safety hazard as the drawer did not have a safety latch and the items were accessible to children. Note: This was CORRECTED during the inspection as the hazardous items were removed and stored in an area out of children's reach.

Upon arrival to the operation children of varying ages were observed watching cartoons on a television during the naptime.

2 of 6 children files reviewed were missing the child's immunization record.

Training record for CPR was not available for review.

An infant was asleep in a restrictive device/swing.

The wooden fence in the outdoor playarea was observed with broken panels.

Three children records did not have a copy of the immunizations.

The an infant was not secured with the safety straps while being on a swing. Note: The swing was removed since it was old (more than 20 years).

The personnel and training records were not available for review. The safety practice documentation for emergency drills is not being maintained with the current fire drills. The last fire drill documented was on 6/08/21.

The swings were attached to a composite structure. Corrected at Inspection: The swings were removed from the inspection.

There was cleaning supplies under the cabinets in the restroom used by the children. Note: The cleaning supplies were removed.

Three children's records did not have a health statement. One child's record did not have a copy of the immunizations.
