This standard was reviewed and found to be out of compliance through an investigation. During the investigation, it was determined that caregivers were using television in rooms where children under two years of age were present.

Multiple caregivers were seen not having their children wash their hands/help wash their hands after a diaper change.

The bathrooms for the afterschool/gym area had peeling paint and rust on some of the stall doors.

The loose fill on both playgrounds was below the required amount.

During the inspection I observed the television on in the after schooler room while some children were sleeping.

During the inspection multiple nap mats were observed to be torn exposing foam and making them not waterproof/washable.

During the inspection multiple classrooms were found to be out of ratio.

During the inspection two classrooms were observed with the television on, both classrooms had children under 2 years old.

Video footage was observed and the television was seen to be on for more than one hour during the day. This was corrected at the inspection as the director discussed this with staff.

This Minimum Standard was found to be deficient. The caregiver demonstrated poor judgement when she did not report to the front office after she assumed she had grazed a child's finger and saw a blister on that finger had popped.

Both playgrounds that require loose-fill surfacing did not meet the required amount, in some areas dirt was visible.

During my walk through of the operation I observed a canister of Clorox Odor Ban sitting in a bucket on the ground in a bathroom. This bathroom was unlocked and the door was open, children were in the room connected to the bathroom. The canister was thrown away during my inspection.
