In addition, during this time another caregiver was asked to supervise this class and instead remained in their own classroom which prevented this caregiver from having visual and auditory awareness of the ongoing activities in the classroom left unattended.

It was discovered that a group of six children between the ages of 3-8 were left alone for about 1-2 minutes and were able to open a door leading to the parking lot. A three-year-old was able to exit and was stand a few feet from door in the parking lot while the others remained in the gym.
