There was no documentation of the renewal of CPR/First Aid for the primary caregiver.

During inspection ratios were checked and there was one child over the approved ratio for a Licensed Child Care Home.

The first aid kit contained expired triple antibiotic ointment and hydrogen peroxide. This was corrected at the inspection when the expired material were disposed of accordingly.

Primary caregiver did not have current training in SIDs, Shaken Baby Syndrome or Understanding Early Childhood Brain Development and cares for children younger than 24 month of age.

Dog feces was observed in the areas the children use for outside active play. This was corrected at the inspection when the primary caregiver removed the feces from the grounds.

The primary caregiver did not have the required training in emergency preparedness, administration of medication, food allergies or hazardous material.

Of the four children files reviewed, one child did not have documentation of immunizations or an immunization exemption.

The television was in use with children under the age of two in care. This was corrected at the inspection when the television was turned off.

The playground area, used by children in care, was found to have animals feces. This was corrected when the provider picked up the feces and threw it away.

The operational policies were reviewed and found to not cover Safe Sleep policy for infants or promotion of indoor and outdoor physical activity.

A household member was found to not have the required background checks. This was corrected at inspection when the required checks were submitted for household member.

The smoke detector/carbon monoxide combo installed in the main area used by the children in care, was found to not be in working condition. This was corrected at inspection when the batteries were replaced, the smoke detector/carbon monoxide combo was tested and was in working condition.

Documentation was not available to indicate fire drills, sheltering drills, or lock-down drills were practiced since September 2023.

The playground area, used by children in care, was found to have animals feces and metal debris.

The sign-in and sign-out log was only available for the current week.

The primary caregiver is missing 18 hours of the required 30 hours of annual training, including the following topics: - recognizing and preventing shaken baby syndrome - understanding and using safe sleep practices and preventing sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) - understanding early childhood brain development - preventing, recognizing, and reporting abuse and neglect - 3 hours of management or leadership training - 2 hours transportation training (the 2 hours of transportation training must be taken annually but does not count towards the 30 annual hours)

Animal feces was found outside where the children play.

There was a one inch hole observed in the play yard mesh. This was corrected at inspection when the caregiver removed the play yard.
