AP Background check results - Must receive notification prior to allowing subject to be present at your operation

Caregiver responsibility - providing the level of supervision necessary to ensure each child's safety and well-being

Suicide Screening- Document that any person conducting a suicide screening meets the conditions and training requirements.

Child-care policy - Personal possessions a child is or is not allowed to have, where stored, and search policies

Personnel Policies - Develop written job descriptions including minimum qualifications and job responsibilities for each position

Volunteer policy - Address qualifications, screening, and selection procedures for the volunteers

Medication Storage-make provisions for storing medication that requires refrigeration

Discharge/Transfer Documentation-Must include date and circumstances of discharge or transfer

Required Postings-Post Licensing notice Keeping Children Safe in prominent and publicly accessible place where others may easily view it at all times

You must immediately refer a child to a MH professional for a suicide risk assessment if screening finds child to be at a high risk for suicide.

You must adhere to recommendations of the MH professional and update the child?s safety/service plan's if child is at high risk for suicide.

Evacuation-Must document fire and severe weather drills, including date, time, type of drill, and length of time for evacuation/relocation

Personnel Policies- Must include either the model drug testing policy or a written policy that meets or exceeds the criteria in the model policy.

Bathrooms-Child must not have to cross a common use room to access a bathroom from the child's bedroom

Child-care policy - Child's right to receive and give gifts

Suicide Training-All caregivers and employees must complete at least one hour of annual suicide prevention training.

Evacuation-Emergency evacuation & relocation diagram must include designated location outside operation where all caregivers & children meet

Personnel Policies - Include procedures for screening applicants to determine suitability.

Evacuation-Must post the emergency evacuation & relocation diagram in a prominent/visible location in all buildings

You must refer a child to a MH professional within 24hrs for a suicide risk assessment if screening finds child to be a potential risk for suicide.

You must create a Postvention Team, Written Action Plan and Protocols.

Suicide Screening- Must be performed in a manner that protects the child?s privacy.

A PLSP must meet with a child within 24 hours of their return to an operation post hospitalization.

Suicide Screening- Must be documented.

Personnel Policies - Develop a written organizational chart showing administrative/professional/staffing structures and lines of authority

Child-care policy - Procedures for routine and emergency diagnosis, including treatment of medical and dental problems
